Dubai is know for it’s fantastic architecture , with many spectacular building being built every year but also known for the vibrant nightlife and luxury shopping. What can you see in Dubai ?
Right next to the Burj Khalifa is The Dubai Mall. To call the sprawling development merely a shopping mall is doing it a disservice. Even an entire day spent here isn’t enough to see it all. Along with its 1,200-plus shops and 150 restaurants, the venue is home to an indoor theme park, an ice rink, a huge indoor waterfall, a choreographed outdoor fountain and the giant Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.
The newest addition to the city highlights is fast becoming the most loved destination of tourists and travelers alike. This frame serves the exact job of other sky-high buildings in Dubai, such as Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab, that is providing a panoramic view of the city. But, Dubai Frame has a unique concept- the north side of the frame shows the historical side of Dubai, whereas the southern part provides breathtaking views of the city’s modern skyline. The frame vertical glass bridge connects the two parallel towers 1(50m tall and 93m wide), which make the shape of a frame. You will get an eagle-eye view of the city from the 150m high frame while you endure the past, present, and future from the ground to the sky. If you are brave enough, you can walk in the 50m long opaque glass bridge at the Sky-deck that becomes clear only when a visitor walks over it. This gives a feeling that you are walking in the air. You don’t have to go too far away from the skyscrapers to soak up a more natural vista. The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary incorporates the mangrove forests and wetlands of Dubai creek. An important stop-off on the migration routes, it’s a prime place to spot flamingos in winter when massive flocks of these majestic pink birds wade through the lagoons, backdropped by soaring high-rises. Various hides in prime spots have been set up within the park to allow bird-watchers good views of the bird life. This museum explores the United Arab Emirates’ historic role as a trading center between Asia, Africa, and Europe long before oil became this region’s most prominent industry. Located inside the old residence of Sheikh Hashr bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, who was a member of Dubai’s ruling family, the exhibits trace this coastal area’s history as part of the global trade routes, with displays of artifacts and manuscripts. Also on-site is the Rare Books and Manuscripts Museum and the small Armory Museum.
Another important reason to visit Dubai is the World EXPO 2020. That will be a sight to behold! Expo 2020 will (of course) be in 2020 – although it doesn’t officially start until later in the year. It will run for six months from October 20 to April 10, with pavillions open and entertainment scheduled between 10am and 1am on weekdays, and 10am to 2am on weekends.
