Profectus Biotech and Medisun Medical Group today announced the opening of a new joint venture in Hong Kong. The primary mission of the new company, ProMed BioSciences, Ltd., is to establish a leading vaccine company focused on the development of preventive and therapeutic vaccines for infectious diseases and cancer. ProMed BioSciences also plans to develop and treat hepatitis C virus (HCV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), herpes simplex virus (HSV), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
